[Gallery] RG Z Gundam MS mode

Here's some pic of the RG Z Gundam that I've just finished.
Due to the fact that RG Z cannot move the shoulder forward (limited thanks to the transformation mechanism) and that I've been watching Lighting Ace's blog that features many awesome aerial poses for gunplas, I tried using more aerial poses here myself.

Also, do you prefer the small thumbnail gallery look in this post or the usual large thumbnails (like in this post)?
Please post in the comments.

[Comic] Cute Lil' Justice

In the end, I'll still buy them

Here's a view from a different angle to see what they're sitting on:

[Gallery] RG Justice Part 1

These photos has been sitting on my harddisk for a couple of week yet only just now did I posted it.
I dunno, my brain hasn't seem to work very well lately @_@.

Well anyway, here are the pics for the RG Justice Gundam (part 1 because I haven't put any of the decals yet).

Loved the details on this kit, in fact it might have more details than the RG Mk-II, even though RG Justice had roughly the same number of runners while also having parts for the huge Fatum backpack.
Props to Bandai for the great parts build (especially on the Fatum) and the panel lines all over the place.

Thoughts on recent plamos

Speaking of plamos, after the All Japan Model & Hobby Show 2012, lot's of new plamos shows up there. I have to say, the ones that shows up were incredibly enticing. Even so, due to my limited budget, I'm limiting my "must get list" to just 3. Here they are by order of priorities:

[Comic] First Experience

I know what I did there.

Well, yeah, I'm kinda somewhat learning on doing weathering, as suggested by a commenter on my deviantArt page. Did some dry brushing with dark copper (coulnd't find metallic grey in a local Tamiya store).
Not sure if I'm satisfied with my first try. Kinda felt I overdid in some places and didn't put enough in other places. But oh well, it's a start :).
And I'm quite fond of portraying SCM EX RX-78-2 as the crazy guy that does silly stuffs XD.

Model kits used in this comic:
  • Bandai's RG 1/144 RX-178 Gundam Mk-II AEUG color
  • Bandai's HGUC 1/144 GM Striker
  • Bandai's HGUC 1/144 GM Custom
  • Banpresto's SCM EX RX-78-2

Japanese version after the jump.

[Gallery] Rooftop Test

Tried doing some photoshoots on the rooftop of my new lodging house. Dusty as heck and not as flexible as taking pictures on my own room, but I am very, truly, extremely satisfied with the results.

More pics after the jump.

System Weapon 003, Writing Interrupted

Well, my writing process was halted by the arrival of this:

Accessories to put more accessories onto it. I like that.

Couldn't resist getting one since both the beam rifles and shields included here are pretty awesome looking. Not to mention I haven't built anything in the past two months, the temptation for building this is pretty tough ;^^.

Some pics after the jump.
Pics are taken using my cellphone camera, so sorry for the quality.

[Comic] Partner Planes

Probably the comic with the largest number of ellipses
SCM EX is in town, baby!

Kits used in this comic:
  • Bandai's RG 1/144 RX-78-2
  • Bandai's RG 1/144 Aile Strike Gundam
  • Banpresto's SCM EX RX-78-2
  • Banpresto's SCM EX Guncannon

Also, a little surprise after the jump.

[Sidestory] Slow progress... And some incoming stuffs I go crazy for

A small progress with time from breaks during my last weeks of works for a while, flavored with guilt.

I have no idea what they're talking about

In other news, some kits that piqued my interest:

[Comic] Skeletal Horror

Umm, remember when I said that the next gunpla comics will be a traditional panel test?
Uh, ahahahahah, Nevermind!!

Model kits used in this comic:
- Bandai's RG 1/144 Gundam Mk-II Titans
- Bandai's RG 1/144 Gundam Mk-II AEUG (Inner Frame)
- Bandai's RG 1/144 RX-78-2 Gundam
- Bandai's RG 1/144 Aile Strike Gundam

Well in any case, I thought this up when I'm thinking about horror movies in the bathroom. Weird, I know. The idea is that something that latches on to you, the either crushes you or blow a hole through your body. Of course the idea was modified to fit the mecha theme.

I also thought about another horror monster, one that sucks your arms and head into your butt, and... ...I'll stop right there... and probably email that idea to the Silent Hill creative team.

[Gallery] RG Gundam Mk-II Titans part 1

Well it has been a real long while since I actually built anything. The combination of busyness, lack of interest, and lack of money really made the couple months felt stagnant "orz.
And then the Mk-II finally got released.

Have I told you before that Gundam Mk-II is my most favorite gundam design?
Well, Gundam Mk-II is my most favorite gundam design, to the point of havingthe MG Mk-II Titans ver 2.0 HD Color as the one and only MG in my collection.

I planned that I would get both color variation, and built the AEUG color first with normal panel lines to know and memorize the build, and then build the Titans color with silver marker.
Now, if you're a Gunpla Builder, then I'm pretty sure you know that the AEUG color variation of RG Mk-II got delayed in release and the Titans color got released first. Well, plan botched. ugh
So anyway, I got the Titans version first (and still waiting for the AEUG color here), and boldly attempt to panel line it with silver anyway. If you saw the previous post, then you knew that it worked, though I think I can work it a bit better if I knew the build much better.

I've pretty much finished the whole kit, though before putting on the decals, I took a couple of pictures, alongside with some pose tests:

Mini Recent Stuff May 23rd 2012

Oh hey, haven't updated this blog in like, what? 2 months?
... sorry, really really sorry bout that "orz.

I will make more post soon about what happened recently.
Since there's quite a bit of them (ComiPo!, thesis, moving, etc), I might make multiple post.
Should be soon, unless I succumbed to stress "orz.

In a gunpla related news, I just finished RG Gundam Mk-II Titans.

Best RG I've ever built. More news later. See you!

[Comic] 1+1= Boom

If there is a Double Rainbow in a Gundam world...

And there's my first comic of 2012 :).
Imagine you're not very fond of Gundam SEED & Destiny, yet you researched for quotes from those series. *sigh*
Thx to my friend for lending his RG Freedom.

[Comic] Centum

The title is just another fancy word for 100
Self deprecating post yay~.

- I'm really sorry for not posting anything for a while "orz.
- I previously intended to make an "About me" post for this, but lately I felt a bit miserable and the draft for that gets a bit too emo, so I scrapped it.
- Now my comics no longer uses comic sans fonts. Didn't knew it was a hated font until a friend of mine told me haha :p.
- Figumo Warfare 2 didn't won the contest because we're the only one that actually submitted stop motion videos, therefore the stop motion award was removed :(.
- And my friend that worked on the video told me he wasn't satisfied with the video and wanted to extend some parts making it into somewhat a "Director's cut" (and he won't allow me to upload the video until he finishes that).
- Fate/Zero is awesome.
- Some of my markers started to dry :(.
- Finished building Shiranui's body.
- RG Sky Grasper + Sword & Launcher Pack was (IMO) a good call by Bandai, will definitely get.
- So what's about the next RG after the Sky Grasper? A friend of mine told me that he thinks it would be AGE, but I'll hope Bandai waits at least another year so they can release RG AGE-1, AGE-2, & AGE-3 consecutively.
- I guess I should start working on Jesta's WIP...
- And here's to another 100 post and more!! :D

[Comic] Cutting Edges

Sorry for being late :p.
There'll will be another couple of comic before the epic comic starts, just so that I can introduce some other characters that'll also appear there.

Can anybody suggest a good mecha stepping SFX other than the name of Touhou's creator?

Midway finished on RG Aile Strike

Finished building the main body part of the RG Aile Strike.
I really liked the improvement of the design build here :D.
After some sleep, I will continue to the equipments and hopefully manage to finish the Aile Pack too.
A few more pic after the jump.

Started building RG Aile Strike

Build this using a thicker marker than usual. You might see that some panel line are too thick.

I have to say, this kit's built is a bit simpler compared to the previous two RG. There are still variations of the colors (3 types of white & 2 type of red, but only 1 tyype of blue), but the placement of the colors aren't as... "aggressive", if I might put it, compared to the RG RX-78-2 and the RG Zaku. Because of that and how the connection parts are designed this time, the whole kit become much more stable than the previous two RGs.

The loose skirts, an issue both the RX & Zaku had, were dealt by making the connector from the skirts to the waist longer. The kit's stability is also better compared to RG RX and RG Zaku, wherein RG RX and RG Zaku would definitely fall to the ground with a single flick, RG Strike can still stand still even after a little push (although my built isn't really finished). This is probably because of the longer feet design compared to the RX-78-2 & Zaku's feet design, but this is definitely needed because of the Aile pack (I'm pretty sure that the "won't fall in a single flick" would no longer be valid when the Strike equips the Aile pack hahaha).

I'm really eager in continuing building this kit. But due to the time constraints because of my interim work, I'm probably can only continue building this Saturday.

[Comic] Friendship is Easy

Here's a little bit simpler comic, because I'm currently on exam :3.
Somewhat a continuation of the New Order series.

Funny fact: I finished putting the decals on RG RX-78-2 within 3 days, I finished the decals on RG Char's Zaku-II in a single day.
Apparently he is indeed 3x faster XD.
